Another winner of a pattern from T&TB
My first foray into trousers (as a confident beginner). The pattern gives really clear and detailed instructions.
I was unsure whether to add the front pockets as I thought that might be too much too handle - not at all, its so well explained I found it an absolutely great step by step process.
I didn't pay attention to the suggested fabrics- I wish I had, I will be making another pair in one if the suggested fabrics very soon.
Brilliant pattern - love it.
Hi Sandra, wow - these Winnies are incredible!!! It’s so great to hear you didn’t hesitate and went for the more advanced option. I’m really looking forward to seeing your future versions, and I hope you enjoy wearing these in the meantime - they are stunning! Happy sewing, Virginija x
Ansolutely love my Winnie trousers. As always, wonderful instructions. Thanks again TATB!
This my third pair of Winnie trousers. I love making them. Pattern surprisingly straightforward. Love them oh and by the way I am known as Winnie to my work mates!!
Hi Carol, your Winnies are absolutely gorgeous - thanks for sharing such a lovely photo of them! Hope you continue to enjoy wearing them. Happy sewing, Virginija x
I took a gamble on making this pattern in jumbo cord and I’m so glad I did. The fabric was lovely to work with and as always the instructions so clear. I feel like I’ve levelled up with this pattern (I think this is my third pair of trousers and it’s definitely the best result so far), and as a newbie sewist still I’m so so proud of myself! Thanks to the TATB team for another great pattern.
Hi Claire, thanks so much for your amazing review! It’s so great to hear that you love the pattern and have already made a few, yay! Your cord version is absolutely gorgeous; I bet they’re so soft and comfortable to wear. :) Happy sewing! Virginija x
I wasn't sure how these would look on me, given that I wouldn't usually wear trousers with an elasticated waist. However, I am pleasantly surprised! I made mine in needlecord and I'm happy with the result. I contoured the side seams in slightly to get a better fit over the hips. As I am 5'8" tall, I added 4cm to the leg length, which was about right to create ankle skimmers. As usual, the instructions were very clear. I'm planning another pair in the spring!
Hi Helen, woohoo! So glad the fit worked out and that you’re pleasantly surprised - your needlecord version sounds fab! Can’t wait to see your spring pair. Happy sewing! Abi x
