What a useful top!

I have now made two Samara tops, one in cotton lawn and the other in cotton poplin. I'm an experienced dressmaker and historical re-enactor who spends most of her sewing time making Victorian clothing (including corsets) or WW2 vintage outfits, so it was pure pleasure to sew something quick and simple. Putting the pdf pattern together was so much easier than many that I have used from other designers and the instructions really clear too. I can see me making variations of the Samara for the summer (if we ever get one, that is!).

CLEAREST PATTERN EVER

If you're looking for your first project - give this a go! Very clear instructions and includes guidance photos so you know you're staying on track.
I, of course, did make mistakes, but I will be attempting this again - I learnt a lot along the way! Progress and it's not put me off sewing!

Too much ease in pattern for me...

Sizing runs large but still wearable. Easy pattern that comes together quickly but will make 1 size smaller next time.
