Fabric Suggestions

Light-to medium-weight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, poplin, chambray, flannel, linen blends, Tencel (lyocell), viscose (rayon). For the puffball sleeve, choose a fabric with body that will hold its shape. The straight sleeve dress could also be made in needlecord or lighter-weight denim.

Really clear instructions

I hadn’t used interfacing (or hadn’t used it properly) or fitted sleeves and a few other skills. I found the illustrations and accompanying instructions really helpful and clear. I have struggled with patterns previously and this has inspired me to make more and given me a feeling of accomplishment because I finished a lovely dress. Thankyou Tilly and the Buttons !

Fantastic versatile pattern

I bought this pattern as had several sleeve options. Made the long dress version with puffball sleeves. As usual the instructions were very clear so enjoyed making this sleeve type for the first time.

Lovely little pattern with good instructions. The video links are helpful and the multi sizes make it so that it can be used more than knce or easily adjusted.

A bit challenging but rewarding!

I was a bit daunted by something with buttons, but the instructions were clear throughout and any use of the seam ripper that was necessary was my own fault for not paying enough attention to the images! I sized down by 1 size because I did not want the blouse to be too oversized and it's perfect.

Great pattern that can be customised in so many ways!
