Fabric Suggestions

Light-to medium-weight woven fabrics such as cotton lawn, poplin, chambray, flannel, linen blends, Tencel (lyocell), viscose (rayon). For the puffball sleeve, choose a fabric with body that will hold its shape. The straight sleeve dress could also be made in needlecord or lighter-weight denim.

The Perfect Summer Dress!

This is the second Nell I've made and I love it so much! It's the perfect dress to wear to work in the summer and I love how adaptable the pattern is.
This sew took me a few hours over the course of a weekend. The instructions are really easy to follow. I find the basic pattern a little too baggy for my liking, so this time I added some extra darts in the back bodice and I'm so happy with the fit!
I know I'll keep returning back to this pattern as an absolute staple.

Versatile, detailed instructions = beautiful results

Love this pattern. It comes together beautifully.
There are several techniques I thought may be challenging but its really so well explained I found it fine.
I made a top first and that was great so now moving onto the full dress.
Think I could get 6 or 7 different sews from this one pattern.
I would say I am a confident beginner- this pattern is perfect for anyone with basic skills as it takes you through everything step by step.

Endless possibilities

I have made this pattern 4 times now - 3 midi dresses and a straight top. You can get such a different look by changing fabrics and using different sleeve options. This pattern is super versatile and it's easy to make little changes to suit your body and style. Highly recommend having it in your pattern stash.
