GET INSPIRED #SewingFrida
I'm a 'confident beginner' and this was my first shirt. It was so straight forward to follow the instructions and I'm so pleased with the outcome. I chose to do a 3/4 sleeve with no cuffs as it's for the summer, but will make loads of these shirts I'm sure!
Hi there, thank you so much for your lovely review! It’s so great to hear that the improver level didn’t intimidate you - and now you know how to make shirts, yay! Your Frida is absolutely stunning, and I love the way you’ve played with the stripes. Enjoy wearing it! Virginija x
Frida shirt involved a number of processes which are new to me. I bought pattern & tutorial & inexpensive print . I am very pleased with result having taken it slowly . Tilly’s patterns are always easy to follow in my experience. I have already bought a more expensive linen / cotton mix for the short sleeved boxy version. Watch this space..
Hi Jenny, thanks for sharing your experience with the Frida shirt - it’s so lovely to hear that you’ve learned loads by making it up, yay! Oooh, I’m really looking forward to seeing your boxy shirt. Enjoy making it! Happy sewing! Virginija x
As with all of Tilly's patterns I use, I found making this shirt a joy and easy to follow. Highly recommend.

The video tutorial is so worth it for tje collar. The shirt came out so lovely in linen. Totally doable if you’ve sewn up a couple of things before.
Hi Maya, thanks so much for your amazing review! I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed making the shirt and that the online workshop was helpful, yay! Now that you’ve mastered collar making, there’s no going back! Happy sewing! Virginija x
When this pattern first came out, I didn’t think I needed another shirt pattern, but I love TATB patterns. I was tempted to purchase the workshop as I felt I wouldn't be able to make the shirt with no video instructions, but the instructions and pictures are so well written that I was able to make my shirt (minus buttons) with hardly any issues. There were a few times I was a bit lost and wished I had a video to go by, but after reading over the instructions a few times, I was able to get it done.
Hi Monique, thank you for your lovely review! We’re so pleased you were able to make your Frida shirt successfully and that the instructions guided you through. Happy sewing! Abi x
